The Concept of Design

The main body of the work is made up of interwoven flower-petal-like shapes suspended above the ground in natural balance. Retaining the natural color of the materials is an expression of truth, so that visitors to the court understand this is an institution dedicated to the pursuit of truth and maintaining social peace, one that strives to strike a balance between opposing points of view in its judgments. When illuminated by lights the piece appears transparent, an allusion to the transparency and justice of the judicial process at local courts.
