The Concept of Design

Echoing the geographical environment and the architectural space where it is installed, Cube integrates its material, texture, shape, color, and volume with visual spectacle. It mixes polished and mirror polished stainless steel to mirror finishing the polished front of the square tube. The work also features bevel cuts and horizontal cuts in different heights, creating a model which is often associated with digital architecture. Instead of showing its own color, the mirror polished stainless steel reflects the colors of the surroundings around it, evoking a strong sense of materiality in order to merge the installation into the space. Viewers are allowed to discover the hidden quality of the art work, moreover, to redefine the essence of the venue for creatively.
