First class: “My First ‘Body’ Class”
3/9 Sat. 14:00-16:00 at Museum of Taiwanese Antiquities
Where did dance originate? Let us answer this question by exploring every subtle physical movement in our daily lives and by playing fun games. Through such explorations and games, we become aware of our physical expressions, communicate with our bodies, and trigger body-related imaginations.

Second class: “Investigate the Flowing Space within the Body”
3/23 Sat. 14:00-16:00 at Museum of Taiwanese Antiquities
Through breathing, can you perceive the flow within the body? Through guidance and practice, we will help you discover all physical possibilities as you breath and stretch, and create your own dances.

Third class: “Creating the Moment of Emotional Resonance”
4/27 Sat. 14:00-16:00 at Museum of Taiwanese Antiquities
All of our experiences such as happiness, excitement, anger, and frustration, are preserved inside our bodies. Listen to our “bodily” memories and use our bodies as a vehicle for telling stories. Finally, let us dance for ourselves.

Instructor: Lee Yin-Ying
A core member of the Shimmering Production, Lee Yin-Ying’s performance (i.e., “Beings ”) with her team won them an award in both the Yokohama Dance Collection (YDC) and YDC Competition in 2021. Also, she launched the “Dancing Everywhere” Amateur Dancer Project, guiding the public to explore the connection between their bodies and consciousness by “perceiving” their bodies, creating more possibilities for the use of such bodies.
In recent years, Lee has worked with artists from different domains to continue to explore different performance possibilities, crossing over into domains such as film shooting and theatrical body movement designs. From 2009 to 2019, she worked as a professional dancer for Cloud Gate 2. In 2019, she received a grant from the National Culture and Arts Foundation for an overseas art project in Tokyo to study butoh. In 2023, she visited Japan following the support  from the Asian Cultural Council (ACC).

Troupe information: Shimmering Production
Shimmering Production, co-founded by Wang Yeu-Kwn and Lee Yin-Ying, focuses on creating contemporary dances and promoting the “Dancing Everywhere” Amateur Dancer Project, exploring and questioning the body to create uniqueness in bodies in the contemporary era.
Shimmering Production holds dance workshops for amateur and older adult dancers, continuously promoting and developing the “Dancing Everywhere” Amateur Dancer Project. By sharing their bodily experiences, the troupe aims to integrate art into life, starting with understanding one’s breath to “shimmering from the body.”
Beings,” the first part of a dancer series, won an award in the Yokohama Dance Collection (YDC), YDC Competition, and YDC Artist-in-Residence Award. In recent years, it has been performed in countries such as Greece, Germany, Japan, Spain, and Portugal.
A Quest for Relationship: Island of _____,” the second part of the dance series, received the support from the Weiwuying Taiwan Dance Platform for its creation in 2022. In 2023, the performance was shown in The Place in London, U.K. and the Kinosaki International Arts Center in Japan. In the same year, the performance won the FACP (Federation for Asian Cultural Promotion) “Pitch for New Aspects” Project Award and Best Popularity Award. In 2024, the performance will be delivered for the first time in Taiwan.
