National Cheng Kung University Directions for Review by the Committee of Performative Events of Cheng-Kung Auditorium

1. The Committee of Performative Events of Cheng-Kung Auditorium (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee") of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) establishes these directions to promote the development of on-campus/off-campus performative events and select excellent performative events.
2. The performative events referred to herein shall mean music, dance, drama, traditional Chinese drama, and any other events primarily engaged in performing arts.
3. The applicant for the activities of performative events in Cheng-Kung Auditorium shall satisfy any of the following qualifications:
(1) Performing arts group, arts & cultures foundation, academic cultural society, art studio and the cultural business entity which have completed registration of accreditation with the competent authority (a photocopy of the certificate of accreditation to be attached).
(2) Individuals with R.O.C. nationality engaged in performing arts (a photocopy of the ID card and related certificate to be attached).
(3) In the case of foreigners, please submit a photocopy of the "visitor visa for foreigners engaged in performing arts in Taiwan" authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
(4) Any unit or student club of NCKU included. A student club may not file the application until it is approved upon the preliminary review by the Office of Student Affairs.
4. The application may be filed in the following manners:
The Committee will hold three review conferences per year in principle, in January (the applications to be accepted by the end of December of each year), May (the applications to be accepted by the end of April of each year), and September (the applications to be accepted by the end of August of each year). Where it is impossible to file the application timely due to a tight performance schedule or any other special condition, the application may be treated as a special project based upon approval by the President of NCKU.
5. Submissions required from the applicant:
(1) Application form for the venue of the performative event in five copies;
(2) Proposal for the performative event in five copies;
(3) Audiovisual materials (CD, DVD or YouTube links);
(4) Photocopy of certificate of registration or personal ID card and related certificate; The submissions referred to in the preceding paragraph shall be recorded into a DVD to be saved by NCKU. Incomplete submissions shall result in rejection of the application. No submissions will be returned, irrelevant with whether the application is approved upon review.
6. Mode of delivery: Service via registered mail (the envelope shall identify the application for performative events in Cheng-Kung Auditorium), or deliver to General Affairs Division of the Office of General Affairs in person.
7. Review principles: Performative events of professionalism, public welfare, international cultural exchange and excellent student club; compliance with Article 6 of the Educational Fundamental Act concerning the principle of impartiality and relevant regulations; and, no likelihood of damage to the venue or facilities.
8. Review results: The applicants who are approved upon the review are allowed to perform the show proposed by them in Cheng-Kung Auditorium, provided that the show time shall be arranged subject to the schedule of Cheng-Kung Auditorium and borrowed in accordance with the Directions Governing Facilities Services for Rooms Managed by Office of General Affairs of NCKU.
9. These Directions shall be effective after being approved by a meeting of the Chief Administrators Council. The same shall be applied where these Directions are amended.
