One day, an image suddenly appeared in my mind,
I was flying high above Taiwan, and the island had become very small,
Imagining the way Ronts described Reunion Island to me in the past,
With its mountains, scorching sun, it was an island full of sunshine and passion.
“Insulaire(s)” is the French word, which means the inhabitants of the island.
Sometimes we are individuals, but when we stay together, it will be a group.
"We, the Islanders," living on two different islands,
Individual existences, from different "islands,"
The place where I and he reside, grow, live, breathe, and run,
No matter where we step barefoot, the life brought from the island continues.
Islanders in the Island,
The eyes of individuals that see the essence of things,
Narrative content shot and recorded through a camera lens,
A group of different "us," whether interpreted objectively or intuitively,
Expressed through different forms of fiber art, photography, illustration, and
printmaking, depicting our own appearance.
As we observe and contemplate, we constantly think about our creative work.
"But there are no limits to love, and it doesn't matter if I embrace badly as long
as I can embrace everything." - Albert Camus
