This exhibition explores the interrelationships between architecture, space, memory, history, the subconscious, colonization, and cultural hybridization through different series. Starting with photographing the ruins of the former East Germany, and continuing with an ongoing project on war landscapes in recent years, starting from Kinmen and Matsu and traveling to the remnants of World War II and the Cold War in different countries, to study how humans have changed and shaped the terrain in war. How human-made landscapes infiltrate and influence our psychology are examined. As places replete with memory, these landscapes reflect the scars of history. Memory is closely intertwined with such landscapes and architectural spaces. Through these hidden traces amongst the landscapes and architectural spaces, traumatic history that we have not personally experienced, but which has passed into silence still radiates, seemingly slowly diminishing with time, but still endlessly disturbing us across the ages.
